Laser Institute of America (LIA) is taking applications for the William M. Steen Award for significant developments in laser material processing. To bring focus to the many developments taking place and to promote the development of new ideas, LIA is making awards for the top three ideas of the year as adjudicated by a prize giving panel. A company or laboratory that would like their idea recognized should submit a form to LIA. To qualify, the development should have experimental proof of concept in the use of lasers or monitoring of laser processes. The award will be presented at ICALEO 2020, Oct. 19-22.
